Wild Women Don't Get the Blues (They Just Get Drunk)

Woke up this morning
And I got kicked all over town
I tried to get back up baby
But the man keeps pushing me down
I could get depressed or just sit around and sulk
But you know that
Wild women don't get the blues
We just get drunk

Well that man said he loved me
Said he'd treat me right
That man said he loved me
Said he'd treat me right
Well I've been down that road a million times before
You know they love you and they leave you
And they walk out the door

But I said love me baby
Like you say you will
You know I got work available for you honey
Positions need to be filled
Well he came and he conquered and my battleship's been sunk
But you know that wild women don't get the blues
We just get drunk

I work like a dog baby
Like a dog all day
Then that punk that they call fica come and
Took all my money away
You know you're born free but then you're
Taxed to death
If you're gonna take that much of my money
You might as well take the rest

But I'm going out drinking honey
I'm gonna paint this town
You know I ain't got no money honey
But I'm gonna close this place down
Well I'll walk the edge of madness but refuse to jump
Cause you know that
Wild women don't get the blues we just get drunk

Give me whiskey give me vodka or wine
Just give me some kinda little drink that's gonna ease my mind
The sign says no vacancy but the blues just checked in
I think I found myself just don't ask me where I've been

Love me baby and we could own this town
Don't even bother trying to pick me up
Cause I think I'm staying down
But don't count me out cause I'm puching to the front
Cause you know that
Wild women don't get the blues
They just get drunk.
