Your yard is beautiful - absolutely nothing wrong with container gardening - it's still gardening and still looks beautiful!

Thank ya.  That's all John's handiwork there - he maintains the pond.  The irises on the left are purple - they should be blooming in a couple weeks.  Unfortunately, we lost our biggest fish a couple days ago.  Don't know what happened - he was just floatin.  :(

Yes it is Janet.  It's ugly, I hate it, but it's necessary.   Living amongst waterways, we have blue heron - they will wipe them out in no time.  Wiped out 1/2 our stock in one day couple years ago - then came the net.  We do have other wildlife too but most of them are "swoopers" and there's too many obstacles around our pond.

What a neat way to protect your fish when you are not outside!  I've been trying to figure out a way to have a water feature with koi and keep the predator birds out.  We have hawks and owls that would love fish for dinner (my friend saw an owl take a koi one day).
